Today I took a new label maker on its maiden voyage. After taking inventory of various equipment across campus and entering in the new ticketing/asset system, we now have to go to all the rooms and place labels with asset tag codes on them.
Luckily, the new ticketing system has the ability to filter assets by room, and then print labels.

Once you find the assets you are looking for in incident IQ, select print labels in the option drop-down menu.
A print window will pop up and you simply select the label printer and make sure the format is set to landscape.
Presto!
Oddly, some of this data collecting and spreadsheet stuff has never appealed to me before, but somehow, maybe the scanners or all the toys involved, I am finding it satisfying.
