Breaking in the New System
One of the features of the new ticketing system is the inventory component. Today we began going from room to room, with laptop and scanner in hand, adding document cams, projectors, TVs, phones and computers to a spreadsheet that will later be synced to the ticketing system. One of the fields was simply for the room number, followed by model name, then the serial number. The serial number was entered using a scanner borrowed from the library and to my surprise was just plug-and-play!
It was a welcome break from enrolling Chromebooks in, but there are plenty of those left and I imagine my hands will be joyfully tapping away at them soon.
